Who Am I? - Brendan McPhillips.

Brendan McPhillips (They/Them)

23 (at the time of writing!)

Irish/English.

Hi there! If you’re reading this far, I’d like to say not only thank you for exploring my work, and my representation of my communities but for also taking the time to sit with my art- to feel it and to resonate with it, for after all that is why art exists. To impact people.

And naturally, as we all know within the world of Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, it isn’t what you know- it’s who you know. And with that little segue into my next segment, I function a little differently than other artists and journalists- i’ll answer any and every email, every question, curosity or query, I will happily answer.

What I Offer:

I offer a unique outlook and viewpoint upon inersections within communities , being from a diverse and multicultural (One half of my family is Irish Catholic from the Republic and North of Ireland, one half is English Protestant from Wales and England.)background which allows me the unique abilities to empathise, sympathise and ultimately capture the scenario before me without prejudice or predeterminism, while allowing me to remain faithful to the story (and often) the people at hand.

My work speaks volumes more then my words ever could, and so if you (or anyone you know- it is who you know.) have a project in mind or an event you believe that needs to be documented- please get in contact with me using the handy contact section just below.

With Love, Rage & Solidarity

Brendan McPhillips.
